Classic new adult

Interesting plot, exciting storyline and the characters? Chefs Kiss. Penelope Douglas just knows how to write and make readers fall in love the protagonists! I like Madoc and Fallon way more than Jared and Tate! The differences between the two and how they act together works really well! What didn't work for me unfortunately:The "forbidden part" has already happened and it was actually more about the consequences of that. It also bothered me a bit that the first half of the book was thematically like Tate and Jared's books. Don‘t get me wrong, i love a good Enemy to Lover Story, but that "I hate you but I love you" was too similar for me. I thought the "forbidden" part would take center stage, but it seemed more like an echo. I really liked the book, but for me the story still has a lot of room for improvement.

⤷‧₊˚ 5 ⭑ “you’ve always wanted me. you know why? because i don’t try to kill your demons. i run with them.” when i hate one trope more than anything it’s the step sibling trope but they’re my exception. i love fallon & madoc so much. they’re one of my absolute favorite couples. no matter how many books i read they’re always on the back of my mind to remind me it’s hard to choose a couple over them.

While reading this book I thought it was a spicy retelling of Jared's and Tate's story. Fallon and Madoc hated each other because of a lack of communication. After some more ups and downs they are together and getting married. It was rushed and I didn't feel the story.

Das Buch hat einfach total Spaß gemacht

Wieder mal eine riesen Empfehlung. Penelope Douglas ist meine Queen. Ich liebe ihre Bücher. Enemys/haters to lovers, forbidden love, lost love, (kinda?) Bully romance, viel viel spice und.. der Schreibstil. Die Charaktere.. Lest es einfach.
