Finished the third book of this series and Nora delivered. I have mixed feelings about this book and don't know where to start. Let's travel back: the first was an amazing start, the second was a typical filler book with a lot of insights, and the third with a great but fast ending. Overall, I could savor the words, see in my mind what Sasha saw, Riley learned and discovered, Annika whose joy was so pure, Bran conjured, Sawyer leapt to and Doyle journeyed to after hundreds of years of battle...peace. In this book we follow our group and Riley and Doyle are in focus (what a surprise). But to be honest, I supported them since the beginning, and I was wondering how this crazy she-wolf and the quiet "Highlander" end up together. I just knew their love story is going to be interesting. You'd think they wouldn't hit it off, but boy they really heated up the sheets. Similar to Bay of Sighs, Island of Glass ended abruptly, in terms of both the two characters, and the quest itself. I had the feeling, that 2/3 of the book nothing really significant happeneds and dragged it out - almost 100 pages left and then boom. One sign after sign. And then the Island appears. It felt to me like there had been a rush, towards the end of the book, to "wrap things up." This led me feeling not quite as satisfied as usual, when I put the book down. To be clear, I still very much enjoyed these books. I had such high hopes for a five-star series since picking up the first book, but nope
