I like the characters. Clara seems tough and uptight at first, but is actually a sweetie. Josh is good-hearted, charming and goofy, he is really funny and unexpectedly has very very deep feelings. I really loved the character development of both main characters. And the other characters are great too, I like Naomi a lot too, she's so cool, such a tough cookie, I'm so curious to read the book about her. I like the setting with them moving in together unexpectedly without knowing eachother and helping eachother to get better and overcome fears and shame. It had a lot of sweet and hot scenes (the spice was top notch) and it was a real slow burn, but when they finally let themselves loose it was WOW and yes, capital letters are perfect to describe it. I was so excited when they finally kissed. This relationship really didn't have the typical time line and order relationships normally have. And I have to mention that I like the insight into the adult entertainment industry and critique to it too in this book and the focus on female pleasure and learning about it.

this was not a sexy book. the trope was sex. the tropes were: -roommates -pornstar mmc -spicy 4.5/5 I say that this book was literal sex not because it was really spicy but because EVERYTHING had to do with smut. I don't mind a spicy book, but the WHOLE book was about sex, the plot was sex. I did not like it at all. I thought this was going to be a book of build up, tension and funny and maybe smut, but not THE WHOLE book. 1/5⭐️

The Roommate was the perfect holiday rom-com read and as I'd heard a lot of positive things about the book, I had pretty high expectations, still: the book surely did not disappoint. It was an easy read but despite that still touched on very important and also serious topics - without ever losing its jokes and banter🫶🏼 I loved the development of Clara's and Josh's relationship, how both Josh and her faced and managed to overcome their bias and learned to not care so much about other peoples' opinions and rather make their decisions based on what they truly believed in! Definitely a recommendation from my side if you're looking for something to take on holiday with you this year!💛

Clara ist ein absoluter Rockstar und hat mit ihren Ansichten absoluten Vorbildcharakter. Josh ist auch toll- ja, aber bei ihm hat mir ein bisschen Tiefgang gefehlt (auf der Gefühlsebene, nicht anders) und diese Ketchup Geschichte war ein bisschen random... Aber schöne Geschichte! 😊

Ich hab das Buch geliebt! Besonders dass es nicht immer so viele Zeitsprünge zwischen den Kapiteln gab. Oftmals endet ein Kapitel und man denkt sich “darüber hätte ich gerne noch mehr erfahren” und genau das schafft das Buch! Ich mochte die Tension zwischen Clara und Josh und spicy war es auch 🌶️🫶🏼 Absolute Empfehlung!

I'm not entirely sure what I expected going into the book but damn, this was cute. It really was. Two very different characters face the expectations and stigmata society graced them with and challenge them together. I enjoyed the twist on well known tropes that played out differently than expected and the only downside was the inevitable last obstacle of their relationship. A fun, cute and quick read.

Die Einblick das Berufsleben von Josh und Naomi fand ich sehr spannend. Auch Clara mochte ich sehr, obwohl ich ihre Familiensituation etwas aufgebauscht fand. Die langsame Entwicklung zwischen josh und Clara fand ich auch super, erst die Freundschaft und dann doch mehr. Etwas nervig war aber auf Dauer diese Gedanken à la er/sie kann mich doch nicht wirklich wollen, wir sind viel zu verschieden, etc., etc.

I am a little unsure if this was 3 stars or 4 but in the end I enjoyed this a lot. I think my main problem why I did not enjoy this to the fullest is because I would be so jealous if my boyfriend was a „porn star“ but good for them honestly. And I mean Josh is such a babe really I like how there are not so much stereotypes about ex crushes / partners A dual pov is a big plus for me in a book and what I also enjoyed is that neither of the two MCs is annoying

Das Buch war ein sehr comfy romance Buch. Zwischendurch hat es mich nicht gecatcht, aber größtenteils war es sehr gut. Die Story line, sowie der Schreibstil, war mal etwas anderes und die Beziehung zwischen den Protagonisten war spicy hat aber auch Schmetterlinge im Bauch verursacht:)

This was nice but I did expected a bit more. I liked that it was centred around the ✨adult film industry✨ without it being weird or forced or something. Clara was annoying but not really annoying. Josh at one point said to her that she has to lift up to what she said and I definitely felt the same way with her.A lot of the conversations and eventually the fight between Clara and Josh were what seemed like half way executed. I felt like there were parts missing in favour to get to the bottom of the problem which then led to the conversations having a certain moment that didn't felt natural. They had essentially a bad flow. Not all of them, but a fair amount. I was also missing a conversation between Clara and her mom. Or Clara's family in general. There were a lot of hints that Clara's family is somewhat well known and I would just have loved to see a confrontation between her and her mom. Or Jill, Clara and the rest of the family. Unfortunately this never happened. On the other hand, there was a really lovely moment between Josh and his mom! Really adored this whole chapter.I did liked Naomi and I loved that the two women never ended up having a fight or be in any sort of competition with each other. And I'm also excited in some way to read "The Intimacy Experiment", which will have her as the main character. 

Wer keinen spice mag, sollte die Finger von diesem Buch lassen. Der männliche Hauptprotagonist ist nämlich ein Pornostar. Aber er ist sehr sympathisch. Am liebsten mochte ich Carla und ihre Entwicklung, obwohl mir manche Entscheidungen von ihr etwas zu schnell gegangen sind. Naomi fand ich nicht so sympathisch, drum bin ich mir nicht sicher ob ich Band 2 lesen soll.

Das erste, das mir aufgefallen ist? Süßes und sehr auffälliges Cover. Als ich dann die ersten Kapitel gelesen habe, hab ich germerkt, dass ich es schöner gefunden hätte, wenn über den Kapiteln immer >Josh< / >Clara< gestanden hätte. Denn auch wenn das Buch aus der dritten Erzählerperspektive geschrieben ist, merkt man schon den Unterschied, ob es eher von Josh oder Clara kommt und das hätte das lesen noch angenehmer gemacht. Ich bin bereits 100 Seiten im Buch und ich denke, dass hier könnte ein "he falls first" werden... wuhuuu Das Buch macht Spaß und ist comfy, spricht aber zu gleich auch ein Thema an über das ich bisher noch nie so wirklich nachgedachte habe, aber über das man vielleicht mal mehr nachdenken sollte. Und können wir mal darüber reden wie cute und wholesome Josh ist. Das ist kein boyfriend-material, sondern eher husband-material. Das komplette Buch hat einem ein gutes Gefühl gegeben. Einfach ein comfy Buch!

2-3 Stars. Sharing your flat with a porn star? This book sounded and started with so much fun in the beginning. While I appreciate the idea of getting a glimpse of the porn industry, dealing with prejudices and female pleasure, this book just wasn’t it. The female protagonist (was) turned from a super shy, inexperienced girl into a „come here, get me naked“-girl way too fast and everything just felt super rushed and wrong. Also, how fast did she manage to drive from Las Vegas to L.A.????

Das Buch war sehr unterhaltsam. ☺️ Josh und Clara sind beide sehr sympathisch und ich fands richtig schön, die Geschichte aus beiden Perspektiven zu erleben. Zu sehen, dass beide Parteien insgeheim für einander schwärmen und denken, dass der andere genau das Gegenteil denkt war super schön, an manchen Stellen witzig aber auch etwas traurig. Letztendlich hat sich ja alles zum Guten gewendet

Knowing the world of pornography and the real fight of a woman for her true sexual desire and how the taboos of society stop her f it was completely refreshing and informative. Certainly in the current era the physique is quite complicated to accept but reading this type of story where both men and women can live with the security or insecurity or even the confidence of being in their own skins is magnanimous I definitely loved the innocence that existed here, the fight for one's own feminine and sexual freedom. The taboo of the pornographic industry and how it affects those who even work for it The political structure that it also represents...I loved it. And I feel That Naomi's book with the religious taboos that the synopsis points to is something big I believe that both books destroy the superficial, political, religious and interpersonal stereotype of female and male sexual freedom. In addition to the freedom as a society to choose and decide what and how you are going to handle it Josh is beautiful, he is such a pure character, I loved it as well as Clara how they both couldn't help it at the end. I'M LOVIN 'IT

Clara, anständig und nach einem Tapetenwechsel suchend, zieht in eine Wohnung mit dem ihr bis dahin unbekannten Josh. Josh ist abenteuerlustig und charamant, aber vor allem ist Josh ein sehr bekannter Erotikdarsteller. Was für eine irre Kombi. Clara ist anfangs keine einfache Charakterin, weil sie einem sehr wertend und unsicher erscheint. Aber Josh schafft es den Leser und Clara für sich zu erwärmen, weil seine lockere und sympathische Einstellung fast schon ansteckend ist. Nicht nur das. Clara legt eine super Charakterentwicklung hin, bei der sie immer mehr selbstbewusst und aufgeschlossener wird. Aber obwohl Clara anfangs eher negativ auf einen wirkt, schaffen sie es und Josh eine unglaubliche Chemie aufzubauen. Die beiden sind leidenschaftlich, so viel sei gesagt. Ich war richtig begeistert. Und nicht nur das konnte mich begeistern. Was das Buch einzigartig macht, ist der neutrale und dennoch Probleme unterstreichende Blick auf die Erotikfilmbranche.
