Picked this book up randomly and started to read. This is my live review while I read. Chapter 1 This book is written in the first person, and it makes it seem dreary because it starts with someone just talking about himself. The main character has been alive a long time. He is an ancient druid who lives in the modern world and goes to Starbucks. I made it to page 3 but I don't see myself going much further. My mind is wondering what the point of the story is and it doesn't seem like I am close to finding out. It talks about Faerie people looking for the main character, but does not suggest what they would want him for. Wait, now the Faerie have found him and there is some sort of fight, but it still doesn't make me want to keep reading. I suppose the charm of this book is the sense of humor and outlook of the main character. Unfortunately, being trapped in his head separates me from really knowing what is going on. Also, I don't think he is going to die anytime soon because he tells the story, so I don't feel any danger. The End.
