This novel takes place right in the middle of the Clones Wars era with Obi-Wan being injured. There’s just something about one’s favourite character being hurt and suffering. I feel bad, but I do enjoy a good traumatised character. This was one of the best Star Wars books I’ve read so far! So much exquisite insight into our dear main characters in this novel; Padmé, Bail, Anakin and of course Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan and Anakin don’t spend much time together unfortunately. Due to Obi-Wan being heavily injured he can’t join Anakin on a mission and later on joins Bail Organa on a seperate one. Obi-Wan does not like politicians at all and I loved the bickering between him and Bail throughout the entire book. I was invested and really had a hard time putting this book down. Luckily there are more Clone War era novels to be read and I shall devour them all.
