An intriguing political thriller set in the Star Wars universe that keeps the reader at the edge of their seat. We get a group of terrorists who are part of a plan to assassinate the Supreme Chancellor Valorum while a group of jedi -amongst them our beloved Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan- try to prevent aforementioned plot by finding this group of people in order prevent the worst from happening. Throughout this entire story we also get to see how deep Palpatine's manipulations go all the while concealing the traces leading back to him. Nothing is as it seems amongst this chase across the galaxy, making the reader guess what's going to happen next only to be surprised by all the twists at the last moment. This was basically a prequel tied beautifully into the beginning of the prequel movies and makes me want to rewatch them immediately.
