“Behold. The Queen of the Damned.” After a terrible first book and still bad but now it’s camp second book this was really really good?!? It was well written, it had a really interesting novel structure, it had heart wrenching metaphors AND it had *the* devil’s minion chapter??!!!! 95% of my quotes are from this chapter because it is insanity on indescribable levels What do you mean the cuck chair is CANON?! What do mean the greatest love story in this series starts with Armand saw-trapping Daniel for a week and then stalking him for years?! What do you mean Armand gaslights and mind controls him so much that nothing brings him an ounce of joy till he “voluntarily” comes back home?! And the entire time Daniel is just the most down bad person you’ve ever seen in your entire life. “Daniel stared hard at the creature before him, this thing that looked human and sounded human but was not. There was a horrid shift in his consciousness; he saw this being like a great insect, a monstrous evil predator who had devoured a million human lives. And yet he loved this thing. He loved it not because it looked like a gentle, thoughtful young man, but because it was ghastly and loathsome, and beautiful all at the same time.” And after all of this Armand answers Daniel’s “I love you” with “Are you certain?”. Get the fuck up Armand! You’re currently being his sugar daddy with his own money!!! But somehow this still doesn’t scratch the surface of the nature of their relationship, because nothing is as insane as devil’s minion… It is perfect, it is the purest form of heartbreak. I can’t even describe the levels of tragedy that are interwoven in their feelings for each other, I’m just completely insane about it. “There is nothing I can do to make you want to live, isn’t that so?”

Da kommt keiner so schnell ran.
