I really was prepared to like Miłosz. For whatever reason I had this idea that noble prize winners should be likable people. Unfortunately he is not, at least not to me. While I found his memories of the time during nazi occupation very interesting and I also understand that he has experienced terrible things, I was surprised by his lack of ability of reflection. He pointed with his finger to other people a lot, explained to us his extraordinary talent and talked a lot about sins, Christianity and it that context the disconnection of sex and fertility in our modern times. Apparently I had wrong expectations, nevertheless I'm disappointed.
