A slow-burn romance, with an undercover investigation aspect? And it's written by Mhairi McFarlane? Sign me up! It's funny and witty but still manages to capture the underlying issues of the investigation the two main characters are caught up in with appropriate gravity. The characters felt fleshed out and real and the romance was perfectly paced.
