the fact that Ruiz Zafón translated & even wrote some of these in English just proves once and for all what a true literary and language genius he was. these stories but most of all his words will always have a special place in my heart. as per usual, these were confusing, mystical, dark, creepy, brutal, heartfelt and detailed all at once. although I would have wished for them to be just the slightest bit more organized & direct. more settled into the Cemetery of Forgotten Books, but I can see how that wasn’t the point of these stories.
