This book sounded so promising, but it kind of fell flat for me. I learned a lot about chinese/taiwanese culture, but the characters seemed a little one-dimensional. I never really felt the chemistry between Francine and Ollie, though I enjoyed Jiyah and Rollo as side characters. The plot was pretty predictable and I found the majority of it sort of boring. Alas, I liked Michelle Quach's writing style and I will definitely read more of her books in the future! I know this review is pretty short, but I actually haven't got any more to say. It was just fine, I guess.
