Though this book was my first introduction to Megan Whalen Turner, I will definitely be back for more (by actually reading the rest of the series, in order, OOPS!) The characters are well-crafted, the dialogue is great, the plot may seem slow to some, but it is very clever! I felt I could feel Kamet's chest pain towards the end when he has that realization about Laela - great writing through and through. I can't wait to finish the rest of the series, and MWT is definitely now on my names-to-remember-for-fantasy list.
