This book starts super fast with a pace that I thought I had grown out of and made me assume that I wouldn't like this book now that I am no longer a teen, but after a short while, this book reminded me why Kasie West was one of my favorite authors when I was younger. I really like the way she writes attraction, and that has to be why I kept coming back to her books and put her other books on my tbr because the chemistry was just wow, and just kept me flying through the pages. There were a few smaller things which I found were made a bit too simple even for a Young Adult book, but in overall Kasie West just knows how to write a romance book, and so this is 4/5 stars to me.
Este libro como todos los de Kasie super adorable que se lee super rapido entretenido y con protas achuchables aunque creo que al final me ha faltado un epilogo o algo como cierre pero por lo demas ♥
This is literally what got me through the pandemic
A few years back (during Covid) I listend to the audio book version of this so often that I knew certain passages by heart. Back then, I really, really loved this book. Now, the characters (unfortunately) annoyed me to some extent. Caymen certainly came of as a bit of a pick-me from time to time, and Xander is still charming, but not quite as much as I had remembered. Of course, I still like the story; just not as much as I used to. However, The Distance Between Us will always hold a special place in my heart and I probably will come back to it again sometime.
Kasie West just writes the cutest YA Romances. I may be biased though, because her books are what got me into reading romance <3
“ Caymen you are not like the other girls “ Liebe gewinnt immer! Eww
LOVED IT! (Duh, can I please have my own Xander?!)
Actual Rating: 4.5 Clearly I have a thing for cute little romance books. Actually, that is a proven fact. And you know what, Kasie West delivers. Every single time. If you are in need of a quick and very cute read, you won't do wrong by picking up one of Wests books. The only thing that bothered me were the names. Xander and Caymen? For real? The romance was sweet and Caymens constant use of sarcasm reminded me so much of me that I absolutely adored her for that. All in all a fantastic read for me.
