Scotland, slow burn, hilarious humor & very complicated family dynamics
4.75 ⭐️ From the start I knew that I was probably going to enjoy this one, especially as a Scotland lover. The descriptions of the cosy house (which is absolutely not a castle) created an amazing atmosphere. Overly dramatic and problematic relationships are normally a pet peeve of mine but for this one they were build up much more naturally and weren’t artificially maintained. The humor in this book was absolutely my cup of tea! :) The chemistry between the characters was believable. As a big fan of slow burn I appreciated Laura‘s and Callum‘s relationship a lot. I also want to add that I was very happy with how the characters communicated in this book (at least for most of them ;D). I feel like those conversations seemed real and most of the characters even reflected on their own behavior which was very refreshing. All in all I just know that I‘ll probably enjoy everything that Lindsey Kelk writes!
