Finally worth the hype
After reading book one, I was quite disappointed. For the most hyped Fantasy book atm., I had way to high expectations for what turned out to be an average book. Tho, I can’t say the same for the Crown of Midnight. After Nehemias death the whole story was finally set in motion, just as she predicted. Celaena takes action and is ready to fight for her freedom rather than just fulfill her role as servant of the King. The plottwist in this book were really satisfying and there is finally an ultimate goal bigger than becoming Kings Champion: saving the world from the Kings growing power. The plottwist in the end was however pretty foreseeable… as well as the location of the first Wyrd key (kinds reminds me of ACOTAR and Amaranthas riddle which was also very obvious). I don’t know what to make of Chaol tho, the miscommunication in this books is so huge once again and why does he decide where Celaena is supposed to go without talking it through with her? And what does he think of the plottwist in the end? Does he see her just as his enemy now? And can we talk about how Dorian and Chaol are constantly stalking Celaena? 😂
