Bin mir sehr unschlüssig, was ich von dem Buch halte. Man begleitet ja eine doch sehr glückliche Familie durch einen Ehebruch, und einen darauffolgenden Mord des Liebhabers der Ehefrau. Anschließend geht es sowohl um die Ehe des Hauptcharakter-Paars, aber auch peripher die in ihrem Umfeld stattfindenden Lieben und Ehen. Der große Rahmen ist jedoch, dass nun ermittelt wird, wer den Liebhaber ermordet hat. Und wie das Business der Ehefrau darunter leidet, da sie eine Dating App konstruiert hat. Und, ebenfalls allumfassend: die Liebe zu ihrem Sohn. Die inneren Vorgänge der Hauptcharaktere werden beschrieben, und ihre Muster versucht darzustellen. Ich mag es, dass sich am Ende der Spieß umgedreht hat: anfangs geht es um die Affaire der Frau, wie sie dennoch versucht/en, die Ehe zu retten und zu beteuern, dass es unbedeutend war. Gegen Ende jedoch geht auch der Ehemann fremd, und das besiegelt dann jedoch das Aus der Ehe - natürlich ist zu diesem späteren Zeitpunkt dann auch schon sehr viel mehr vorgefallen. Ich konnte mich keinem der Charaktere wirklich nah fühlen, wahrscheinlich hat das dann auch die Geschichte für mich so unspannend gemacht. Wirkte eben wie das altbekannte Affäre-Mord-Muster, und hat für mich keinen besonderen Touch gehabt. Auch gab es bei mir eine verweilende Verwirrung, da ich oft versucht habe, den Titel des Buches und auch den Klappentext mit der Geschichte in Verbindung zu bringen, aber irgendwie fühlte es sich nicht so verbunden an. Alltogether hat es sich dennoch gut lesen lassen, aber weiterempfehlen würde ich es wahrscheinlich leider nicht, da es für mich keinen besonderen Charakter hat, der das Buch (insbesondere im Vergleich zu anderen) lesenswert macht.
