This was once again beautifully written. I don‘t think I have ever read a book that treaded words in such a wonderful way. The story was very original as well but it just didn‘t quite catch me. I really liked Mathilda and her story but the love story with Vincent fell a bit short. In the end I would‘ve wished for more conflict and depth in their relationship. What do you mean your spouse was gone for SEVEN years without you knowing where and why and you just calmly invite them inside your home for soup?? Couldn‘t be me.

So different style of writing and I had to get used to it. Very whimsical and enchanting somehow...I liked the world but maybe not something for everyday for me personally.
