Nach einer zwei monatigen Pause habe ich nun den nächsten Risdaverse-Band beendet. Jarrock und Sophie sind wirklich ein großartiges Paar, deren Geschichte ich sehr genossen habe! Ein sehr interessantes Setting auf einem abgelegenen Asteroiden, wundervolle neue Charaktere und ein Wiedersehen mit der Corsair-Crew haben "When she purrs" zu einem tollen Buch gemacht! Mit knapp 500 Seiten aber ein ziemlicher Wälzer, der einige Längen hatte. Dennoch mein bisher liebster Risdaverse-Band ❤️🙌🏼
Risdaverse = neue Wohlfühlreihe
Ich hab das Buch soo gern gelesen. 🫶🏼 Ich liebe GrumpyXSunshine-Storys und das ganze Konzept davon war super umgesetzt. In der Mitte des Buches fand ich es kurz etwas langatmig aber die Story hat mit der Ankunft von Charakteren aus anderen Büchern wieder an Fahrt aufgenommen. Btw. ist das eine weitere Sache, die ich an Ruby Dixon Büchern liebe: die Charaktere die man schon aus anderen Büchern kennt wieder zu treffen. ❤️ Kann das Buch nur empfehlen!
Cute, cute, cute I'm happy we're seeing more of the Corsairs in the Rubyverse, I really missed them. I can"t wait for the brothers to be paired as well! In this book, we follow Sophie, who spent 6 years in sexual slavery serving a praxian master. She was rescued and tried to be a replacement sister to the Va sinthai crew but it didn't work out so well. So when an opportunity of great treasure arises, the brothers decide to off load Sophie and her newly found charge, a cat-lizard who is a pet-protector on an asteroid with a war buddy of one of the brothers'. Said buddy isn't so enthusiatic but oh well... Jerrok, the buddy in question finds himself having to cohabit with a human female and her pet when all he wants is to be left alone. Love story follows. It was really sweet, I devoured it like I do all Ruby Dixon books, because they're just candy in the form of words and that's my favorite type. Jerrock was the brooding, mean-seeming type, but really he'd been hurt and needed someone to see through that and Sophie was this person. Sophie want through a lot herself, I honestly don't know how I would've handled her situation, and the strenght she showed, trusting the brothers and then Jerrock and finding happiness again with him. And the book really makes me curious to know what happened to the brothers, with the ship they're looking for and their disappearance so, looking ofrward to the next installment!
