Description

A grown-up and depressed Peter Pan is fighting to protect Neverland from the realm-conquering Commodore Hook. When Peter's runaway shadow shows up at Wendy's workplace, she's eager for the chance to visit Neverland again, to help protect it--and sure, to see the Fae man she's been in love with for ten years. But Neverland is far different than Wendy remembers, with monsters both literal and human-shaped threatening everything Peter has tried to build.

This book is perfect for everyone who loved Peter Pan as a kid and secretly wants a spicy Fae version! (Adult romance, mild-to-medium heat, cliffhanger ending with HEA in book 2)

!! SPOILERS !! Oh my goodness, I like this one even more than the Jack Frost one! I’ve always loved the story or the mere idea of Peter Pan - and having an all grown up, fae version of him is EVERYTHING IVE WANTED! The romance between Wendy and him was great, with many clues for the reader even if they didn’t quite get it themselves ;) Wendy was somewhat difficult for me, because yes, she’s totally badass and can fight and is confident, but at times, she was also pretty self-centred and I don’t like people like that. However, her good aspects weighted more than that, so the story was still great. And all the guest appearances! Jack Frost & Emmery, Hades? Apollo? I’m in for it! Safe to say I loved this book!! PS: OH MY GOODNESS Taylor Swift’s ‘Peter’ with this?? Makes me wanna cry and fly away and dance in the sky all at the same time!!

This wasn't for me, sadly. I was never into Peter Pan in general, and the image of the Disney guy kept creeping into my mind, which is not sexy at all. I still wanted to give this a chance, but I generally wasn't into the world and the story. I felt like for most of the book, nothing much was happening, and I didn't really like that they were already into each other. I'm not a fan of insta-lust, and here the insta-lust was already ongoing full force on page 1, haha. What I probably hated the most was Melanie. Everything regarding her was just too predictable and annoying. I just can't deal anymore with the cliché "I know she wants to sabotage our relationship but I'll still believe her and let her sabotage it" thing. At that point I mostly skimmed the rest of the book. I'm starting to believe this whole series might not be for me.
