Uhhhh that one surprised me! The author did a VERY clever twist with this one! After book 4 I wasn’t sure where the story could go and BAM - this twist - I LOVED it! Even though this series has world building at a minimum and is not that epic - I like the characters and the series very much. The smut is delicious but sometimes repetitive. But with that twist - the author found something really good to increase the suspense and I hope the FMC uses this new circumstances to widen her potential as a character. Nice!
