Torn ist wahrscheinlich das schönste Buch mit der süßesten und berührendsten Lovestory, die ich je gelesen habe. Es war mein erstes Buch von Carian Cole und hat mich völlig überwältigt. Ihr Schreibstil, ihre Art, Gefühle zu vermitteln und kleine Details zu beschreiben, die Charaktere und deren Entwicklung - es hat mich von der ersten Seite an gepackt und nicht mehr losgelassen. Und der Spice 🥵 Anfangs war ich etwas unsicher, wie sie den age gap und das Thema, das schon morally grey ist, rüberbringen würde. Aber schon während des Lesens war es *die* wholesome Lovestory schlechthin für mich. Als ich das Ende gelesen habe, hatte ich das Gefühl, jemand hat mich in eine Kuscheldecke gehüllt und mir an einem Regentag eine heiße Schokolade gebracht. Und by the way liebe ich, dass alle von Carians Büchern ein garantiertes Happy End haben. ❤️
i really wanted to like it more.. but i just couldn’t. it all went so fast… they already kissed a few times, already had feelings AND EVEN CONFESSED to each other. that all in under 50%. like ugh. the second half felt SOO DRAGGED. and once again i’m guilty of skimming. i couldn’t even connect to Tor or Kenzi. also it was too boring. nothing rlly happened. and when it did, it was dull and lacking something. nothing could grab my attention and rlly excite me or smth. it was alright but nothing special.
