2.5 I really enjoyed the first book in the Forbidden Men series, so I had really high expectations with this one. Unfortunately the book couldn't match them. I had the biggest difficulties with the characters in this book, especially Aspen, the female protagonist. I joust couldn't imagine her a 23-year-old college professor. To me she felt a lot older and I coudln't connect with her at all. I really like Noel, he was a sweet guy who was having a hard time dealing with his life. Some bits of his story really touched me. Another huge letdown was the chemistry btween Noel and Aspen, I just didn't feel it and therefor their story couldn't touch me emotionally. There was also a bit too much drama for my taste. I do enjoy a good drama with protagonists who I can connect with. There was also a lot of drama with the side characters, a bit too much in my opinion. Some parts were really enjoyable and I am sure I would have liked the book if I would have felt more chemistry.
