Jetzt kommen sogar 2 Männer ins Dorf. Die Nachbarin zieht um und James zieht ein. Auch ein Tierarzt kommt, aber leider wird erst kurz darauf ermordet. So ein Jammer für Agatha. Natürlich lässt ihr das keine Ruhe. James und sie machen Nachforschungen und prompt wird noch eine Person ermordet, sind sie auf der richtigen Spur? Es geschieht sehr viel mit Humor und Raffinesse. Das Buch ist sehr flüssig geschrieben und es bringt ein Grinsen in mein Gesicht. Nur mit den Männern hat Agatha anscheinend kein Glück.
Ich bin froh, diese Reihe weiter gelesen zu haben. Im ersten Teil war mir die Protagonistin recht unsympathisch und eigentlich wollte ich die Reihe nicht weiter lesen. Den 2. Teil habe ich mehr genossen und ihn innerhalb von zwei Tagen gelesen. Es ist ein eher gemütlicher Krimi mit einer kleinen Liebesgeschichte und etwas Spannung am Ende. Es ist kein überragendes Buch, das mich noch lange beschäftigen wird aber ich habe es beim Lesen genossen.
Agatha geht erneut auf Mörderjagd und diesmal kommt sie ihrem attraktiven Nachbarn James näher, wenn auch nicht so nah, wie Agatha sich das wünscht. Aber auch der sexy Tierarzt lässt ihr Herz höher schlagen. Neben Hamish McBeth habe ich nun eine neue Cody Crine Reihe mit wundervollen Figuren, zu denen ich gerne zurückkehre.
