Tolles Setting, aber die Protagonistin ist mir nicht sehr sympathisch bis jetzt.
Mir gefällt das Cover sehr gut und auch das Ambiente und das Setting im englischen Oxford ist sehr angenehm und einnehmend. Was mich gestört hat, war Lucy. Sie kam mir dümmlich und naiv vor und da die Geschichte aus ihrer Perspektive und der ersten Person erzählt wird, ist das eher suboptimal... Auch ist sie noch ein ziemlich eindimensionaler Charakter. Allerdings wurde es zum Ende hin besser, so dass ich dem zweiten Teil bestimmt noch eine Chance einräume, mich zu catchen. Die Vampire sind interessant, aber bleiben mir zu blass leider. Mir gefällt die Strick-Club Community und dass sie Lucy unterstützen. Dies war mein erster Ausflug in das Genre der Cozy Mystery/Paranormal Crime und es war nett, aber nicht super. Ich hoffe, dass wird im zweiten Teil besser, sonst gebe ich die Serie auf.
Vampire, Hexen und Wolle - was kann man mehr wollen?!
Ich liebe das Cozy Fantasy Genre. Ich hatte bei diesem Buch keine hohen Erwartungen. Strickende Vampire, ein Wollladen und eine Hexe? Das klingt schon ziemlich 'trashig'. Aber das Buch ist stimmig und hat mir viel viel Spaß gemacht. Es hat wundervolle Zitate. Lucy ist eine angenehme Protagonistin mit viel Witz, Sarkasmus und Charme. Alles in allem erinnert mich das Buch an leichte TV Unterhaltung wie bei 'Good Witch': Es gibt ein Problem, dazwischen wird noch etwas Handlung und Characterentwicklung rein gepackt. Am Ende löst sich alles recht einfach auf und es gibt ein Happy End. Ich bin gespannt wie es mit Lucy weitergeht. Ob sie jemals stricken lernt?
