Ich liebe die Geschichte sehr und habe das deutsche Buch bestimmt schon 5mal gelesen. Da die Reihe auf deutsch nach dem dritten, von ursprünglich sieben Teilen, endet, bin ich gezwungen auf englisch zu lesen. An den Schreibstil musste ich mich etwas gewöhnen und ich fand es etwas schwierig, weil ich sonst sehr selten auf englisch lese. Daher ein Punkt Abzug, im Vergleich zum deutschen Buch. Ellie ist eine der stärksten Protagonisten in der Bücherwelt. Sie ist nicht perfekt und macht Fehler, aber genau das macht sie authentisch. Aber auch der Rest der Jugendlichen spielt eine wichtige Rolle. Jeder Charakterzug, ob positiv oder negativ, hält alles zusammen. Die Story ist total spannend, gut durchdacht, dramatisch und emotional.
This book was meh. Less than meh, actually. I read this book for school — I didn’t really like it much. It was too boring and just lacked a certain quality. This isn’t a book I would otherwise pick up, hence one star. Being Australian myself, a lot of these references I got right away, but this book just didn’t cut it for me.
