I was very excited for this to come out ever since I finished the first two books. The first two books fall under my favorite reads this year so far but unfortunately this one didn't come close to them. While I liked this book, it was just okay. I'm not sure what lacked but something was missing for me to put it in the same category as the first two. Bestfriends to enemies to lovers is a trope I love especially when you add a bet in there. I just LOVE these books and even though this should have been a 5* read for me it's not there. I'm still very excited for the next book of the series and I think I'm going to love the second book more if Carson grovels like Beck did. The writer is very talented and the characters grew on me so I am very excited for the next one. I'm counting the days already.
