This was such a fun retelling! The tension between the characters was amazing. The FMC is a clueless virgin, but imo that was fun and enjoyable, and it was great to watch her gain knowledge, confidence, and set aside the beliefs she got taught. I enjoyed the whole book so much, until around 70%, where I could've sworn the book must be over any second. It just felt like the tension had built, the climax happened, then the aftermath, and I was like, wait, why are there still 30% left? I ended up skimming more than reading then, and it wasn't bad, I just felt like I was over it. To be fair, I generally have a problem with couples getting together too early (for me) and losing interest, which played a part too, and I know from other people that not everyone feels like that. I thoroughly enjoyed the first 70% and didn't mind skimming the rest, so I'm still very happy with this book. Will definitely check out more books by this author.
