The end of the sunshine girl trilogy was just as fast paced and entertaining as the other two books. I really enjoyed the audiobooks and am quite satisfied with how they ended, even tho there were people lost, but that is the nature of war and it always seems more unrealistic to me, if everyone survives. The relationships kept developing in this one and evolved nicely, just like the plot. Truly a nice end to my 2024 reading year.
Es ist kein Geheimnis, dass ich ein Fan von Paige McKenzie und ihrem „The Haunting of Sunshine Girl“ Kanal auf YouTube bin. Geistergeschichten sind einfach meins, und ihr erstes Buch „The Haunting of Sunshine Girl“ ist eines meiner Lieblingsbücher, das ich immer & immer wieder lesen könnte. Nachdem für mich Buch #2 „The Awakening of Sunshine Girl“ eine kleine Enttäuschung war, konnte das große Finale „The Sacrifice of Sunshine Girl“ mich dann doch wieder begeistern. Es bedient zwar immer noch sehr zwanghaft einige Young Adult Klischees, dafür rückt aber die eigentliche Handlung rund um (bzw. der Kampf gegen) Geister und Dämonen wieder mehr in den Vordergrund. Der große Showdown am Ende hat dann einfach wieder richtig viel Spaß gemacht, und Lust, die Reihe gleich wieder von vorne zu beginnen.
