The Rainhorse

The Rain Horse is a captivating borderland story where mysticism and reality are separated by little more than a thin line. Set in the American Southwest, the story is told through a voice from the past, which can only be heard by surrendering to the Sonoran Desert, leaving all boundaries behind, and trying to follow nature's laws. For the reader, it’s the tale of a foal born during a thunderstorm in a scorched land. For Paco, a Tohono O'odham-Pima native, and Carrie, a rancher's daughter engaged to a U.S. Cavalry lieutenant, the quest for freedom begins in the mountains around a small town called Tucson, deep in Apache Territory.
