Eigentlich eine nette und auch unterhaltsame Weihnachtsgeschichte für Kinder, begleitet von hübschen Illustrationen. Es gab viele lustige Szenen, aber auch viel Berührendes. So passt das Buch sehr gut als Vorlesebuch während der Adventszeit. Was mir aber weniger zusagte, war, wie Miller die Weihnachtsgeschichte von Charles Dickens kopierte. Natürlich gibt es unterdessen unzählige Variationen und Nacherzählungen davon, aber hier wirkte es irgendwie zu plump und ideenlos. Einfach nur Copy-Pasta zu machen... Ich denke, der Autor hätte das sicherlich besser hingebracht, hätte er bloss gewollt. Das hat mir im Mittelteil etwas den Leseappetit verdorben, obwohl es ansonsten ein wirklich schönes Kinderbuch ist.
