Description

One house. Nine guests. Endless motives for murder...

In the seaside town of Hamlet Wick, nine guests assemble for a New Year's Eve party to remember.

The owner of Hamlet Hall has organised a murder mystery evening with a 1920s twist, and everyone has their own part to play.

But the game has barely begun when one guest is found dead - killed by a fatal injury to the head.

With no phone signal and no way out of the house, the others are trapped with a killer in their midst.

Someone is playing by their own rules. And in a close-knit community, old rivalries run deep...

3,4 ⭐⭐⭐ It took me quite a while to get into the book (probably over a hundred pages). mainly because there are so many characters and everyone seems to have some kind of connection with everyone else. The actual murder also happens relatively late in the story, so for a while it felt like the book was still warming up. but after a while and the actual murder, everything started to make sense, and I enjoyed seeing the story unfold. however, I found the reveal of the murderer a bit predictable. I had a good guess early on, and most of my theories turned out to be correct. Still, it was enjoyable to see how the story unraveled and how the clues were pieced together.
