Guter Abschluss der Reihe
Zunächst fiel es mir schwer, in den zweiten Teil der Reihe reinzukommen und ich musste teilweise im ersten Band nachlesen, wer wer ist. Danach habe ich auch das zweite Buch gern gelesen. Ich mochte vor allem den Zusammenhalt zwischen Bristol und ihren Freundinnen und die magische Welt (auch wenn diese aufgrund der Kürze der Reihe noch detaillierter hätte sein können). Das Tempo war unterschiedlich, aber nicht zu langsam. Das Ende hätte ich mir anders vorgestellt und weiß noch nicht so ganz, was ich davon halten soll. Ich hänge noch dem Gedanken an eine wiedervereinte Familie nach und habe bis zum Schluss auf Antworten zu Willow gewartet. Ich bin aber froh, dass das Buch noch relativ versöhnlich endet :)
This was the perfect ending for this duology and it broke by heart just to make up for it in the end. After I already loved the first book I was really looking forward to reading the second one. And I wasn’t disappointed AT ALL. Bristol was an amazing fmc and I loved that we got different POVs from many characters too which made the book very easy to „fall into“ and immersive. Bristols fight for her parents was a rollercoaster of emotions and I devoured the whole book. And her getting her magic and accepting it? Perfection. For the ending I can only say: it was cruel and wholesome at once and I smiled while crying- only one book ever managed that before. I can absolutely recommend this book for everyone who read part one and I think it’s even a bit better in comparison- just a very much deserved ending. Thanks to Netgalley for the eARC!
