Celine and Luke get engaged right at the beginning of the book. This novel is answering the question if they will actually get married. But while the story keeps progressing the POV changes between their exes and friends . This story is about what people are seeking and trying to find in marriage, what influences their decisions and what they are willing to sacrifice. Dolan did a great job creating this laconic, but relatable characters, slowly revealing different perspectives and explore the complexity of modern relationships especially in regards to marriage, monogamy and queerness. I loved this fast paced novel about messy people being messy paired with Dolans dry wit, sharp dialogue and spot on social observations.

Dieses Buch war etwas anderes als die Bücher die ich sonst lese. Es ist auch in der dritten Perspektive geschrieben was ich persönlich etwas verwirrend fand. Manche Sätze waren auch etwas kompliziert formuliert was das lesen etwas erschwert hat. Trotzdem hatte dieses Buch etwas, dass ich unbedingt weiterlesen wollte und wissen wollte wie es ausgeht.

Loved the language (need to read more Irish authors), found the plot a bit too thin. All in all great read for metro rides.
