Ein wirklich tolles Buch mit Herbstvibes. Jolie kehrt zurück in ihre Heimatstadt, um es als neue Barbesitzerin den Bewohnern zu zeigen, dass sie es geschafft hat und nicht mehr länger das Opfer ist. Lucas ist früher ihr Nachhilfeschüler gewesen, heute der Sheriff. Eine richtig schöne Geschichte mit traurigen, nachdenklichen Elementen, einem mysteriösen Fall, Herausforderungen und Kämpfen und auch mit ultralustigen Szenen. Wie Lucas um Jolie wirbt war einfach klasse. Unverblümt und doch immer voller Respekt. Lucas zeigt, dass ein echter Mann sich nicht von seinen Gefühlen und Wünschen beherrschen lassen muss, sondern sehr wohl die Frau und deren Wünsche respektieren kann. Auch wenn es für ihn bedeutet, dass er nicht bekommt, was er gerne hätte. Das Knistern zwischen den beiden war absolut spürbar und das Buch funktioniert wunderbar, ganz ohne spice!
This one was really cute. There’s no spice, which was relaxing for once in a while bc the plot wasn’t completely drowned by it (yay). The whole plot with Jolie being a bar owner was interesting. You don’t get a setting like that very often and she was totally badass. Lucas was really cute and I liked his character development. Communication king! Long story short, I really enjoyed this read and highly recommend!!
Sehr schöne cosy Herbststory
Ich hab alle Charaktere ins Herzen geschlossen. Tatsächlich spielt es in der selben Stadt wie der erste Teil und kurz am Anfang wurde auch noch die Icehockey Mannschaft erwähnt. Auch der misteriöse Fall mit den Puppen, die immer wieder bei Familien mkt Kindern, auftauchen passt perfekt in den herbstlichen Vibe.
