The FINAL shocking, heart-wrenching book in the jaw-droppingly stupendous Skulduggery Pleasant series

Valkyrie. Darquesse. Stephanie. The world ain’t big enough for the three of them. The end will come…

The War of the Sanctuaries has been won, but it was not without its casualties. Following the loss of Valkyrie Cain, Skulduggery Pleasant must use any and all means to track down and stop Darquesse before she turns the world into a charred, lifeless cinder.

And so he draws together a team of soldiers, monster hunters, killers, criminals… and Valkyrie’s own murderous reflection.

The war may be over, but the final battle is about to begin. And not everyone gets out of here alive…

Now after re-reading them all I’ve got a ranking Death Bringer (6) Last Stand of Dead Man (8) Dark Days (4) The Dying of the Light (9) Skulduggery Pleasant (1) The Faceless Ones (3) Mortal Coil (5) Kingdom of the Wicked (7) Playing with Fire (2) Well that just happened. I love the whole series and this finale did everything it could for me: I was engaged, I was shocked, I was crying and I was laughing.

I really enjoyed the story, even if it was a bit confusing sometimes. Very excited for what's to come!

"Until the end." *sobs silently* This "final" book always gets me. I am deeply in love with this world, the characters and the writing they're presented in. Apart from "I am freaking glad that there are more books!" I don't have anything to add.

When I finished Harry Potter way back when I was younger, I thought that there would be never a book series that would be capable to destroy me like HP did and it seems that Skulduggery Pleasants final did it again... I read all 9 books this year and with each book you learn to love that universe created by Derek Landy more and more until it seems all to fall apart and made you cry way too much. Probably one of the best series in the genre that exists...
