Wie in allen bisherigen Sigma-Force Büchern gibt es auch hier wieder einen spannenden Plot, mehrere Handlungsstränge, die am Ende zusammenlaufen und überraschende Wendungen. Das Grundthema ist bedrückend: Nahrungsmangel durch Überpopulation und die Maßnahmen eines Unternehmens dagegen. Für mich sind die Bücher von James Rollins einzigartig, durch die Verbindung von Wissenschaft mit Thriller sind sie immer wieder interessant und unvorhersehbar. Ich finde auch die Nachbemerkungen am Ende toll, in denen die Grenzen von Fiktion und Tatsachen gezogen werden und ich immer wieder Neues lerne. Auch bei diesem Teil wurde ich nicht enttäuscht und habe das Buch mit Spannung gelesen.
