Das war echt unterhaltsam!
Ich habe eine Schwäche für das 18. Jahrhundert und fand den Schauplatz im Londoner Schuldgefängnis "The Marshalsea" super spannend. Darüber wusste ich bisher kaum etwas und habe nun ein recht gutes Bild davon, wie es dort gewesen sein könnte. Tom Hawkins hatte auch direkt auf den ersten Seiten schon meine Sympathie, dass ich echt mitfiebern und miträtseln konnte. Der Schreibstil war super angenehm und manch ein Spruch hat mich echt zum Schmunzeln gebracht. Nur das Ende war mir etwas zu übertrieben, aber okay. Die Folgebände werde ich auf jeden Fall auch bald lesen.
Spannend, unerwartete Wendungen, happy end
Anfangs wusste ich nicht was ich von diesem Buch halten sollte wollte das Buch nach beenden aussortieren, doch es wird im Regal stehen bleiben. Wir begleiten Tom, der wegen seiner Schulden ins Gefängnis muss. Ein Mord, den er aufklären soll, doch wem kann er trauen und wer ist hier Freund und wer Feind. Bis zur letzten Seite spannend auch wenn der Mord schon etwas früher aufgeklärt war.
