Loved the graphics, and of course love the story. But it's a bit too abbreviated and therefore doesn't do the whole story justice, that's already in full length in "Wizard and Glass". It's the first time I am reading Dark Tower in english, and I'm glad that I started the series in my mother-tounge, because it's pretty difficult for me. Of course it sounds better, as I guess the translators had a lot of difficulty with some things.
Interesting approach to the Dark Tower series, telling the story chronologically. The artwork is great and I loved the little side stories with the history of mid-world, other characters and more back story you didn't hear about in the book. Spares me also the time to reread this great fantasy epic, which I think needs multiple readings to understand completely.
[ 3,5 Sterne] Es ist lange her, dass ich die Reihe des dunklen Turmes gelesen habe, aber der Comic erzählt die Vorgeschichte - sodass man sich eher an das Gefühl dieser Welt erinnern muss. Wir haben hier die Vorgeschichte von Roland, wie er zum Revolvermann wurde und wie er Susann kennen lernt und verliert. Man muss sich erst einmal wieder in diese Welt einfinden und die Sprache, aber wenn man es tut kann man sich gut mitreißen lassen.
