Ein Western, aber eindeutig ein Buch von Clive Cussler.
Bei diesem Buch handelt es sich um den Start einer neuen Reihe. Der Protagonist ist ein Detektiv einer großen und angesehenen Detektei und innerhalb dieser so etwas wie das beste Pferd im Stall. Die ganze Story hat sich gelesen, wie ein Western. Immer wieder war von Bergbau und Gold die Rede und von Schusswaffen wurde sehr oft und gern Gebrauch gemacht. Der Gegenspieler war hier ein Bankräuber, der allerdings eine mehr als interessante Person darstellte. Zwar war am Ende klar, warum er das tat, was er eben tat, aber schön war es nicht. Ich musste mich an den Rahmen der Handlung erst einmal gewöhnen. Als das dann allergädings geschehen war, habe ich eindeutig den Clive Cussler in der Schreibe erkannt. Es war alles wirklich sehr gut recherchiert . Das Wissen wurde fast schon ziemlich gut eingearbeitet, aber das Gesamtbild war schlüssig und hat mir ein großartiges Kopfkino beschert. - Ich bin gespannt, wir sich die Reihe weiter entwickelt.
