Hallo, ihr Lieben! Ich habe in meiner Kindheit (und jetzt irgendwie auch noch) seeeehr viele Rosamunde Pilcher Filme gesehen.Nun habe ich dann auch endlich mal das erste Buch der Autorin gelesen. Das Buch "Karussell des Lebens" habe ich zum Geburtstag bekommen, wobei ich es vorher auch schon einmal hatte. Die Geschichte spielt (natürlich) in Cornwall in den 80er/90er Jahren. Tatsächlich fand ich die Weltanschauung vieler Charaktere deutlich zurückgeblieben, was jedoch bereits in der Handlung angesprochen wird. Insgesamt habe ich das gleiche Ambiente gefühlt wie bei den Filme, nur ohne die schönen Naturaufnahmen. Das Buch fand ich insgesamt okay, es war halt selbst für mich sehr leichte Kost, doch mit der Zeit ist es spannend geworden. Als leichte Sommerlektüre durchaus geeignet würde ich sagen.
