Business wasn't always easy, so one May morning owner Sarah Henshaw set off for six months chugging the length and breadth of the country. Books were bartered for food, accommodation, bathroom facilities and cake. During the journey, the barge suffered a flooded engine, went out to sea, got banned from Bristol and, on several occasions, floated away altogether. This account follows the ebbs and flows of Sarah's journey as she sought to make her vision of a floating bookshop a reality.

Goblin sich sehr hatte gefreut auf dieses Buch. Goblin liebt englische Kanalboote und vor allem kleine Läden auf Booten. Viele Vlogs gesehen. Goblin also kennt ein bisschen Kanallandschaft, Herausforderungen, Bootprobleme. Davon Goblin hat erwartet ganz viel. Und viele Geschichten von Menschen. Aber nichts. Kapitel oft nur 4-5 Seiten lang. Kein Platz für schöne Geschichten. Die Hälfte davon ist für Nacherzählungen anderer Bücher. Ja, Autorin mag Bücher, okay. Aber das nicht ist, was Goblin erwartet hat. Alles nur oberflächlich. Außer große Klagung der Autorin, dass Geschäft nicht läuft. Nicht mal Schreibstil ansprechend für Goblin. Zudem Goblin zutiefst enttäuscht von Verhalten der Autorin. Kein Wille, zu lernen wie man macht Buchhaltung. Oder zu zahlen Rechnungen. Oder zu lernen wie Boot funktioniert. Oder zu kaufen Campingklo für Boot statt zu pieseln in anderer Leute Blumentöpfe. Nein, Goblin ganz und gar enttäuscht.
