I wanted to love this book so so badly. The concept and story idea is amazing and ground breaking for me. The way to get there was a drag. At least the first half of the book was just dragging the story along too much and made it hard to get through it. It felt like an eternity to get through it. After that it gets easier, the pacing picks up and we are getting a few plot twists that make it end in a somewhat enjoyable read.My favourite chapter out of the whole book is "The book of Maryanne". I sobbed while reading that one, it was brilliant. I had high hopes for the book that sadly weren't fulfilled. I still don't regret picking it up and reading it.
