Oh! Eine Biografie! Nicht mein Ding, aber diese musste sein!
Nachdem die Biografie des Sängers meiner werten Lieblingsband knapp vier Jahre auf meinem SuB lag und ich durch einen Vorfall mit Pech gar nicht mehr zum Lesen selbiger gekommen wäre, habe ich das Buch nun fix wie geschwind zur Hand genommen! Zum Glück, denn es ist spannend, mit feinem Witz, tollen Anekdoten gespickt und macht wirklich viel Spaß beim Lesen! Zumindest in den Passagen, in denen es , lapidar gesagt, um Musik, die Band, seine Liebe , Familie und Freundschaften geht! Und in diesen Momenten weiß ich genau, warum mich meine werte Lieblingsband fasziniert, und wie sie es nun seit 1987 immer wieder auf‘s neue schafft diese Faszination aufrechtzuerhalten. Nur „leider“ gibt es nicht nur den Musiker / Sänger Bono, sondern auch diesen nervig penetranten Aktivisten Bono! Und in diesen Momenten des Buches halte ich es so, wie auf Konzerten,oder wie mein Lieblingsgitarrist meiner werten Lieblingband in der neunten Staffel , Folge 22 der „Simpsons“! Nämlich mit einem resignierten „Jetzt geht das wieder los!“
Diese Biografie wurde in 7 Jahren geschrieben und das merkt man dem Buch an. Es steckt viel Herzblut drin, viel von Bono und seiner Band. Ich empfinde es als zutiefst ehrlich, zumindest geht Bono schonungslos ehrlich und selbstkritisch mit sich um. In 40 Songkapitel erzählt er von seinen Karriereanfängen, Wegbegleitern, Inspirationen, Konzerten, Wohltätigkeit, Präsidenten, Religion, seiner Familie. Es ist wahnsinnig spannend, in diese Gedanken einzutauchen und ich konnte soviel über den Hintergrund seiner Wohltätigkeit schauen. Ich finde es inspirierend, wie er sich und seinen Status für andere einsetzt. Nicht zuletzt gibt er sehr viel Raum seiner Familie, seine Kindheit, die frühverstorbene Mutter, sowie seiner Ali. Die lange Beziehung ist bemerkenswert fürs Showbusiness und WOW, sie muss eine Hammerfrau sein!! Wundervoll, wie er von ihr schwärmt und wie sie harmonieren. Eine super Bio, total empfehlenswert.
