Ainsley Decker is the only daughter of the world famous Gabe Colt and Chris Decker. She grows up quite protected with her two triplet brothers. The word doesn’t know about them. Not only that, the world is also not aware that Gabe and Chris are married or even a couple. Therefore Ainsley grows up with a whole bunch of lies and no real friends besides Mason who is the son of their security guard. Then she meets Porter Kendrick and falls in love with him. Or at least that’s what she thought. But she soon has to realize that he is not In love with her, he only loved that she worshiped him. After realizing that Ainsley has to fight her way back to her family and into a „normal“ life and the only one who is there to support her is Mason. Just how he has always been there. This was only my second Claudia Burgoa book but I loved it as much as the first one. Her style of writing is just amazing and you can really imagine all of her characters in depth. My favorite one was definitely Mason who made sure that no matter how busy he was, he would always support his best friend. Seeing Ainsley fighting against her toxic relationship and getting back with her family made me realize that this can happen to anybody. I think it is great that she brings up such an important topic with this book. Again an absolute reading recommendation from my side.
