Description
A series of weather and driving mishaps leaves me trapped in the woods during a blizzard with a complete stranger in the back of his pickup truck for forty-eight hours.
A stranger with long hair, tattoos, and rippling with muscle.
A stranger with an insanely sexy voice and a wicked smile that turned my insides to jelly.
A stranger who held me in his arms, calmed me, and then set a fire in me that I couldn't put out.
A stranger who I later find out, is a famous rock star.
Storm lives up to his name. Dangerously alluring. Tumultuous. A beautiful, unexpected clash of hot and cold. He's used to getting everything he wants.
And now he wants me.
Me? A quirky, girl-next-door-type who has no business dating a rock star.
Some people chase storms for the thrill. What happens when the storm chases you?
*** Authors note: this story is a stand-alone with a guaranteed happy ending.

TROPES: - cheating (at this point I'm quite annoyed by this trope constantly appearing in the books I want to read...ugh) - opposites attract - he is a dog person - she is a cat person - tattooed hero - rockstar romance
EMBERS AND ASHES #1 Evie & Storm The chemistry between Evie and Storm is amazing. Their banter is so sweet, and I could instantly -while reading - feel this bond between them. The way they meet and are forced to be in each others company is on one hand kind of hilarious, and on the other challenges them and makes the reader get to know them differently. If it was just for these two, I would have nothing to complain about. Evies husband Though the storyline with Evies husband leaves me with mixed feelings. What does it say about her character that she continues to be with him out of obligation and comfort? I don't want to judge her, because I've never made the experiences she made, and I've also never been married - but I'm also here to rate this book, so I kind of have to give my opinion...at least regarding my feelings to that matter. So let's just say I have mixed feelings about her relationship with her husband, her husband in general and how she deals with all of that. I get that she feels like comfortable being with this guy rather than to risk getting hurt. Still, these scenes between these two leaves my stomach in a twist. 3.5-4/5⭐ 3/5🌶️
