Star Trek - Voyager 4: Geistreise 2 - Der Feind meines Feindes

Der vierte Band der Reihe ist der erste der sich wie eine Folge aus einer der Star Trek Folgen aus den 90er anfühlt. Die Geschichte geht strikt voran und trotzdem bleibt genug Zeit das Wesen der einzelnen Charaktere zu erleben. Wann ich die Reihe jedoch weiterlese bleibt offen. Es war ein guter Schluss und auch wenn der Antagonist wieder entkommen ist, kann ich nicht umhin zu sagen, das es für das große Ganze keine Relevanz hat. Unsere Helden sind auf ihrem Lebensweg ins nächste Kapital aufgebrochen und das genügt mir.

The writing style is enjoyable but the plot is just not what I enjoy. The second dilogy with a conspiracy. Where’s the good old Trek fun of exploring the quadrant? And after four books the plot is still unfinished. How long will this series go on? Why didn’t they just make a lot of standalone novels like in the good old days? To earn more money because you have to buy all this freaking books to know the end? Also it’s really annoying that the communications are written cursive. Why? That should be for thoughts and emphasis only. This way reading is really tiring. And why all those cameos? Gosh, I hope the series finally ends in the next book and we’ll finally get the Monster of the week novels we deserve.
