This book made me laugh as often as it made me cry. The new characters were awesome, especially Butelios who I already pledged my undying love for. The fact that Reichis and Ferius barely make appearances didn't stop me from enjoying Kellen's imaginary discourse with them at all. Sure, I miss them. That only means that I have to wait for the next book! I can't help but repeat the love I have for this book. Kellen keeps getting himself into trouble and I enjoy every single twist and turn he predicts or, even better, employs himself. It was so fun to read. And the emotional parts! They were so beautifully written, so honest. It was thrilling. I don't know exactly how I will survive all this time until the next book, but I will have to try. Maybe hunt people down and force them to read this book. Learn to throw steel cards. Make loads of butter cookies as bribes. Who knows!
