This is the second time I read this book and it was just as great as the first time!! Those books in this series are so well written!! The world building really is top notch, with really intricate different cultures. In this book we live through Brigitta's story. Brigitta turns out to be the Tourinian princess and she gets taken by the famous pirate Rupert to get a ransom from Brigitta's step brother, Gunther the current king of Tourin. This book is a whirlwind of pirate life, suitor tournament and romance. And it's great! I love that Brigitta's Embraced gift is so unique and useful to her in the book. Her personnality is also quite different from Lucianna's and that's something really important to me in series. Rupert is great, we have to stan. His embraced gift is really interesting. I could see his identity coming but the whole thing is really well set up none the less!
