Honestly, I am just happy I finished this book. I have higher hopes for the rest of the series, cause everybody raving about these strong female characters in this world. I don’t think that applies to Evangelina. She is probably the least favorite female character in a dark romance book I have ever read. How is she a whole detective with zero instinct! Just ignoring all the red flags of everybody! There was so little world building, that you can go ahead and skip this book. Which is really sad, cause I think the storyline of the order and the signet rings would have been fire. I really hope the other books are better. I am hoping for Leni and Amalia cause they seem to be true badass FMCs.
