I loved this book, it’s a quick fun read with a great small town setting. It reminded of Reckless by Elsie Silver, so naturally, I devoured this book as well. I really appreciated the chronic illness representation. Interconnected standalone series are some of my fav book series ever, I guess because of the found family trope, so I’ll have to pick up the next one soon! 🤠🫶🏼
3.25⭐ It had potential to be a great book but it was just way too short. I liked the two main characters and most of the side characters, except for Piper and her husband. I just couldn't believe in their relationship and love for each other, since we never got to see them actually getting to know each other or spend time together. I know nothing about these characters and they know nothing about each other either. And how can you love someone if you don't know them at all? I'm honestly really frustrated that this book was so short and the romance underdeveloped, because it could have been really great.
